Speaking before featuring in Arsenal's pre-season clash against Everton in Baltimore on Saturday, the Frenchman divulged that he is willing to fight for his place in Arteta's plans.

"My plan is to fight and work with the team, win as much as possible and grow more. It feels good to be back and start pre-season, to continue training and participating in friendly matches," he said as quoted by the Daily Mail.
"It's important to be here with the fans, as well as with my teammates. I hope we will enjoy good training and good matches, this which is important before the start of the season," he added.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal are closing in on a summer deal for Manchester City star Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Reports suggest that Arsenal technical director Edu is finalising personal terms with the Ukrainian.

A move to the Emirates Stadium would see Zinchenko become Arsenal's fifth signing this summer.
