Former Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa has been arrested just a day after the state dropped corruption charges.
Mwendwa was let off the hook after the presiding Magistrate declined an application for adjournment.
However, the ousted football chief has been re-arrested and taken in for questioning.
According to multiple sources, Mwendwa was apprehended on Thursday morning, July 7, at his home on Kiambu Road, Nairobi.

The Star reports that Mwendwa was taken to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for grilling before he is arraignment at Kiambu court.
Genesis of Nick Mwendwa's tribulations
Mwendwa's tribulations started in November 2021 after he was hounded out of office with his entire National Executive Committee by Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.
A caretaker committee was subsequently named to manage football affairs in the country, a move that saw the world football governing body, FIFA, suspend Kenya.
According to Nation, Mwendwa would later be arrested before he was released and re-arrested again on charges of fraud and abuse of office.
The former football boss is accused of misappropriating millions of shillings during his tenure at teh helm of Kenya's football affairs.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported FIFA has suspended Kenya from all international football competitions over government interference.
The development was confirmed on Thursday, February 24, by FIFA president Giani Infantino who announced Kenya's football federation had been suspended alongside Zimbabwe's.
"We had to suspend two of our members; Kenya and Zimbabwe, both for government interference in the activities of football associations. The associations are suspended with immediate effect," Infantino said.
