While Malacia was said to be on his way to Lyon, fresh reports suggest that Man United have hijacked the transfer and the youngster will move to Old Trafford instead.
Voetbal International reports that Feyenoord have already agreed a deal with Man United and the decision is now down to Malacia to decide on who to join between United and Lyon.
The development has since been confirmed by Feyenoord sporting director Frank Arnesen who announced that a deal is in place.
"The agreement is there. We are now waiting for Tyrell [Malacia]. If he says yes, then a transfer to Manchester United is imminent," he was quoted saying.
