Chelsea legend Petr Cech has announced he will be quitting his role as the Technical and Performance Advisor at Stamford Bridge.
Cech's exit comes just days after American billionaire Todd Boehly stepped in as Chelsea's new owner.
According to Metro UK, the former goalkeeper becomes the third high-profile member of the backroom staff to dump the Blues following the previous departures of Marina Granovskaia and Bruce Buck.
The publication reports that while Boehly had expected Marina and Bruce to depart, he was counting on Cech remaining at the club to form part of the new set-up at the club.

Petr Cech announces Chelsea exit
However, Sky Sports reports that the 40-year-old has decided to exit and has since informed the American owner that he felt the time was right to leave the club.
In a statement posted on Chelsea's official website, the legendary shot-stopper said it was a ‘huge privilege’ to serve the club.
"It has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years," he said.
"With the Club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside. I am pleased that the Club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch," he added.
Cech spent ten years at the club during his playing career before he joined rivals, Arsenal, where he wound up his carer.

FootballHowever, he later made a return to Stamford Bridge after he was handed a backroom role which he has had for three years now.

This is after the Spaniard was spotted with Chelsea's merchandise during a recent visit to London.
Pique, who was wearing a white t-shirt and black cap was seen carrying a Blues-branded bag sparking rumours he is flirting with the club.
