The clash will be a repeat of the 2017/18 final when the two teams faced off, with Real Madrid emerging victors in that particular encounter.

Michael Owen backs Liverpool to sink Real Madrid

With just two days left before the much-awaited encounter takes place, Owen has made a bold prediction on who he thinks will win the tie.

According to the former Liverpool and Man United striker, the Reds have an upper hand to win the encounter, claiming Jurgen Klopp's men will "blow away" Real Madrid to win the title for the seventh time in their history.

"I think Liverpool are better than Real Madrid and they could blow them away. 3-1 or 3-0 is my prediction,’ said Owen, who played for both clubs," Owen told the Daily Mail.
"I think they could beat them reasonably convincingly because they are an exceptional team at the minute and are too good for Madrid," he added.

According to Metro UK, Owen's prediction came at a time Liverpool are enjoying an exceptional campaign that saw them miss out on the Premier League title to Man City by just a point.

The Merseysiders have already won two domestic trophies including the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

Liverpool set for big paycheck if they win the Champions League

Earlier, Sports Brief reported a fat paycheck in prize money will be at stake when Liverpool face off with Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The Reds will be in a position to receive a whopping £106 million if they see off the La Liga giants in Paris.

The Jurgen Klopp-tutored side have won the prestigious trophy on six occasions.
