  • Ralf Rangnick believes Paul Pogba played his last game for Manchester United this season during their loss to Liverpool
  • But the Frenchman disagrees with his manager as he believes his season with Man United is not over
  • Pogba says he will work even harder to come back stronger and hopefully before the end of the season

Paul Pogba has said his season with Man United is not over despite interim manager Ralf Rangnick saying otherwise following the Frenchman's calf injury at Anfield.

Recall that Pogba went off with a calf injury 10 minutes into Man United's 4-0 loss to Liverpool last week.

Rangnick says Pogba season is over

Rangnick had said prior to Man United's trip to Arsenal: 'All of the others are still injured and Paul with the scan, it is very likely he will not play until the end of the season again.
'The doctor told me it will take four weeks minimum for him to recover and the last game is at the end of May. I don't think it's very likely he will play again.'

Pogba says his season is not over

But Pogba has now issued a reply indicating that he could still play again before the season comes to an end.

The 29-year-old midfielder tweeted during his side's 3-1 loss to Arsenal that his season with Manchester United is 'not over'.

Pogba set to leave Man United in the summer

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Paul Pogba seemed to have played his last game for Manchester United after hobbling off injured in the 4-0 loss against Liverpool.

The French midfielder is expected to be out of action for up to a month with the calf injury which automatically rules him out for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

According to reports, Manchester United have no interest in extending Paul Pogba’s contract with the Red Devils when his current deal expires at the end of the season.

The Old Trafford hierarchy appears to be disappointed with Pogba’s second spell with the Red Devils after the club failed to mount any serious title challenge since splashing a club record fee of £89m for the midfielder in 2016.

The 29-year-old has won two trophies with Man United which includes the EFL Cup and Europa League in 2017 but has won nothing since.
