The Super Eagles of Nigeria will trade tackles with Tunisia in the Round of 16 at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Having emerged table toppers in Group D, Nigeria are billed to take on the third-placed Group F team as the Carthage Eagles occupied that spot after the final matches of the preliminary rounds are concluded on Thursday.
Tunisia finished the preliminary rounds with 3 points as they were defeated 1-0 by Gambia who finished second position with 7 points in Group F, behind Mali who defeated Mauritania 2-0 to win the group with 7 points and a better goal difference.

Reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions Algeria have bowed out of the 2021 edition of the tournament following their 3-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in their final Group E fixture.
The Desert Foxes needed nothing short of victory during the Thursday evening, January 20, encounter for a chance to progress to the next round of the continental tournament.
This is after they kicked off the competition on a frustrating note, managing just a point in two of their opening fixtures.
Algeria ends their campaign bottom of the pool with just a point, with Ivory Coast progressing as group winners with seven points.

The former Arsenal star is reacting to Nigeria’s outstanding performance in the group stage of the competition following a 2-0 win over Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday night.
Reacting, the Atlanta Olympic gold medalist, in a tweet via his Twitter handle after the game, wrote:
“KAN U believe it? The afcon group stage is over. Nigeria with the clean sheet."
