La Liga giants, Real Madrid, secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League final by defeating Bayern Munich 2-1 in the second leg of their semi-final clash at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With victories in La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup already under their belt, Los Blancos are eyeing a third trophy this season.

Carlo Ancelotti appears set to hand Thibaut Courtois the starting nod for the upcoming Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1.

Standing in their path is a resilient Borussia Dortmund side, who have advanced to the finals after overcoming Atletico Madrid and PSG in the previous rounds.

Carlo Ancelotti and his men face a formidable challenge against the German outfit.

Real Madrid consider major shift against Dortmund

With the UEFA Champions League final at Wembley looming three weeks away, the White Angels are already strategising for their clash against Dortmund, understandable given their secured La Liga title.

According to Managing Madrid, there's talk of a significant change in the starting lineup for the final by manager Carlo Ancelotti and president Florentino Perez.

They're considering fielding Thibaut Courtois in goal to bolster their chances against the Black and Yellow.

While Andriy Lunin has performed admirably all season, the possibility of Courtois taking his place at the Wembley finale is gaining traction.

Courtois to start in next La Liga games

After being sidelined for the majority of the season due to knee injuries, Courtois made his first appearance last weekend against Cadiz and performed well.

However, Ancelotti chose to reinstate Lunin for the semi-final second leg against Bayern, leaving the Belgian on the bench.

Madrid Universal reports that the former Chelsea goalkeeper might feature in the remaining La Liga fixtures, possibly to prepare for the upcoming UCL final against Dortmund.

Courtois's pivotal role in the 2022 Paris final against Liverpool is still fresh in memory, and he might be called upon once more, this time at Wembley.

Ancelotti rejects claims Madrid is 'weird'

Sports Brief also previously reported that Ancelotti staunchly defended his Real Madrid team against remarks made by Bernardo Silva.

The midfielder, known for his consistency under Pep Guardiola's management, controversially described Los Blancos as being 'weird'.

In his latest press conference, Ancelotti couldn't resist responding to Silva's comments, rejecting the idea that his team is peculiar.
