As Abha Club fights to avoid the drop in the Saudi Pro League, captain Saad Bguir has come out strongly in support of head coach Pitso Mosimane, praising his leadership and impact on the team.

Despite their recent 3-1 victory over Al-Ittihad, the club remains in 16th position, just one spot above the relegation zone.

With tough matches against Damac, Al Ahli, Al-Khaleej, and Al Hazm on the horizon, Mosimane faces the daunting task of steering the team to safety.

However, Bguir believes the South African coach has been instrumental in stabilizing the team and inspiring confidence among the players.

In an interview with Al-Riyadiah, Bguir lauded Mosimane, acknowledging that he had come at a challenging period for the club.

"A good coach who came at a sensitive time and a difficult period. He gives everything he has, and we won many matches with him, and I wish him success in the remaining rounds," he said, as reported by SNL24.

Under Mosimane's guidance, Abha has shown signs of improvement, with four wins and two draws in his four-month tenure so far. The skipper also attributed the team's struggles this season to poor planning and decision-making at the start of the campaign.

He pointed out the club's management and team's lack of experience, which he believes contributed to their current predicament.

As per Livescores, Abha will take on Damac in a must-win clash on Friday, May 10, at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City.

Domestic staff files lawsuit against Mosimane

Sports Brief reported that Mosimane was sued for millions by his former domestic worker following a severe injury sustained while on duty.

Dorothy Sikirivao has filed a lawsuit in the Johannesburg High Court, demanding redress.

The coach and his wife, Moira Tlhagale, initially paid her medical bills but stopped without providing a reason.
