Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool could be over as the Anfield club is reportedly considering offloading the Egyptian international at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old forward grabbed the headlines for the wrong reasons after a public spat with manager, Jurgen Klopp, during the Premier League game at West Ham United on Saturday, April 27.

According to GOAL, the pair were involved in a heated exchange on the sidelines just about when Salah was about to the introduced as a substitute in the 79th minute of the encounter.

The bad blood was carried over after the final whistle as the Egyptian headed down the tunnel without shaking hands with Klopp, sparking rumours the rift was deeper than what was witnessed on the pitch.

With the German's era at Anfield set to come to an end this season, Salah’s time at the club may just be over too as Liverpool might be looking to start their new phase with a new superstar.

Why Liverpool could sell Salah

Meanwhile, Liverpool have set their sights on luring a new winger to Anfield ahead of next season as they will be under new manager, Arne Slot, and are planning for a new phase, Give Me Sport reports.

The Premier League giants are expecting the 31-year-old forward to command huge interest from top Saudi Pro League clubs this summer and want to cash in on him before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool could pocket a guaranteed fee of £70 million for Salah, who still has two years left on his current contract with the Reds, although there could also be a possibility of a contract extension.

Salah opens up on Klopp’s spat

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the heated confrontation between Salah and Klopp during the West Ham game forced the Egyptian to come out with a blunt response.

The Liverpool veteran left the London Olympic Stadium with a beaming smile but his comments have suggested that there are problems brewing in the Reds' dressing room.

Salah has been the Merseyside club's main man this season, scoring 24 goals across all competitions, but the sour incident with Klopp could see him ultimately traded off.
