5 WWE stars who starred in movies

Cody Rhodes

The Undisputed WWE Universal champion has starred in a series already and is soon to make his debut in a movie.

As noted by Ringside News, the America Nightmare will star in a reboot of the Naked Gun.

The comedy franchise starred Leslie Nielsen as Frank Drebin and was extremely popular in the 80’s and 90’s.

Liam Neeson will star in the remake as the main character, with Rhodes portraying himself.

CM Punk

The Second City Saviour left the WWE in 2014, and before he arrived in AEW, he starred in a horror movie.

Punk starred as Don Koch in the 2019 horror/mystery film Girl on the Third Floor, which earned him a lot of praise.

The Sportster also reported that he almost starred in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

Triple H

The Chief Content Officer and Head of Creative didn’t leave the company to pursue a career in Hollywood, but did star a big-name movie.

Paul Levesque starred alongside Wesley Snipes, Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Biel when he played a vampire in the movie Blade: Trinity.

The 14-time champion also starred in the 2011 movie called The Chaperone.

The Miz

Michael Mizanin is no stranger to television, having come from the reality show The Real World.

While no one gave him a chance at making it in the WWE, he has since gone on to become one of the most decorated champions in the promotion.

The Miz has starred in the action movie franchise The Marine, and also starred in a Christmas flick called Santa’s Little Helper.

As noted by Screen Rant, the current Tag Team Champion wants to star in a Mortal Kombat movie as Johnny Cage.

Kane

The Big Red Machine was a scary character in the WWE, and took that same fear to the big screen.

Kane, whose real name is Glenn Jacobs, starred in the horror flick See No Evil and See No Evil 2.

Kane plays a reclusive psychopath who hides out in a hotel and mercilessly rips out his victim’s eyes.
