WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston Given Heroic Welcome, Builds Library and Digital Centre in Ghana

World Wrestling Entertainment star, Kofi Kingston received a heroic welcome following his return to Kumasi after many years in the United States of America.

The former WWE champion arrived in his hometown of Atwima Takyiman in the Ashanti Region, where he has built an ultra-modern Library and Digital Centre.

The facility was started last year and completed in 2023, as he returned home to commission it for use by students and the people of the Ashanti Region.

In videos shared on social media, the wrestling icon was welcomed by thousands of people from Atwima Takyiman.

The project dubbed CLICK for Quality Education Foundation is expected to help reduce the level of ICT illiteracy in the little village.

"We did it! The Kofi Kingston Library and Digital Center is officially open, up and running! And we couldn’t have done it without all of you! It was such a special day filled with excitement, enthusiasm, optimism, and hope," he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Huge thanks to everyone who donated to the @gofundme! Your generous contributions helped make this vision a reality and we are ever grateful for your willingness to give!
"Thank you to all the board members of the CLICK for Quality Education Foundation: Elizabeth Afua Sarkodie-Mensah, Leslie Esi Mensah Osabutey, Catherine Woodworth Wong, and Joanna Hadjicostandi-Anang. They, along with several others, all dedicated their time and effort over the years to make this possible. We have all come together to make a real difference in the lives of Ghanaian children! And now, into the future we go!"

Born Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah in Kumasi, Kofi Kingston moved to the United States at a very young age where he started a career in wrestling.

Kofi Kingston commences the building of ICT centre

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian-American wrestler, Kofi Kingston has started the building of an ICT library for the people of Atwima Takyiman in Ghana.

The 41-year-old, who was born in Ghana before he and his family emigrated to the US at a young age, is giving back to the community that raised him.

Kingston, the winner of WrestleMania 35, shared updates of the library dubbed as the CLICK for Quality Education Foundation on his social media pages.
