Arsenal showed their classy side despite how their game was going on Saturday by paying a touching tribute to late WWE superstar Bray Wyatt, who died on Thursday.
Wyatt had been off-screen since February and was said to be dealing with a life-threatening illness. He was nearing a return to the ring before he passed away.
WWE CCO Triple H announced the news on X (formerly Twitter) before it was later revealed by sources that the 36-year-old died after suffering a heart attack.
Tributes from around the world poured in for the three-time World champion, and some football clubs followed suit during the weekend games.
Arsenal pays tribute to Bray Wyatt
Arsenal battled to a 2-2 draw against London neighbours Fulham on Saturday, and despite being 1-0 down at half-time, they showed their classy side with a tribute to the late superstar whose real name is Windham Rotunda.
As seen in a video shared on social media by PW Chronicles, Wyatt's theme song, Broken Out of Love, composed by Mark Crozer, was played over the speakers at the Emirates Stadium at half-time.
According to Mirror UK, the man said to be responsible for playing the song is a huge wrestling fan who has played numerous theme songs during his time at Arsenal. The signature song was also played at Coventry Arena while the club played Sunderland.
The Gunners' opponents on the day, Fulham's president, also owns All Elite Wrestling, AEW, a company battling for supremacy with the WWE, who also paid tribute to Wyatt despite never competing at the promotion.
