WWE and UFC are two juggernauts in their respective fields, and now they will become one global live sports and entertainment titan.
The two businesses will merge to form one company after UFC's parent company, Endeavor Group Holdings, agreed to buy the WWE.
Bleacher Report noted that Endeavor agreed to purchase Vince McMahon's company, which was valued at $9.3 billion. McMahon, who bought the business from his father in 1982, confirmed that the UFC and WWE would be merging into one entity.
"Together, we will be a $21-plus billion live sports and entertainment powerhouse with a collective fan base of more than a billion people and an exciting growth opportunity," McMahon said.
