WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi has backed wrestling legend, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, for the US presidency.
Back in April 2021, The Rock, as he is famously known admitted he would seek America's high office "if the people want it."
The Guardian reports that Rock, who is one of the highest-paid and most popular actors in the United States, has been flirting with the idea of running for the top seat for several years.
“I do have that goal to unite our country and I also feel that if this is what the people want, then I will do that,” Johnson was quoted saying when asked about a possible White House bid.
Rikishi backs The Rock for the US presidency
Rikishi has now come out to declare his support for his fellow wrestler, admitting he would vote for him if he threw his hat in the ring.
Rikishi, whose real name is Solofa Fatu noted that he would not hesitate to back Rock's bid should he seek the high office.
“I’m voting for him," Rikishi, a real-life cousin of The Rock told Brandon Robinson of Bally Sports.
“I don’t know about being the Vice President… [laughs] I’ll be voting for him though because I’m not the political cat; I’m just the cat who supports the people," he added.
If The Rock vies for the presidency, he would join a long list of American celebrities who have run for political office.
The celebrities include Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger who was elected California governor and former wrestler Jesse Ventura who became the governor of Minnesota.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported The Undertaker offered fans a glimpse of his real-life persona as he was reduced to tears during his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The wrestler announced his retirement from the ring back in November 2020, paving way for his induction after an illustrious career.
He was honoured on Friday, April 1, in Dallas, Texas, by WWE chief Vince McMahon who hailed him as one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time.
