WWE has since paid an impassioned tribute to Hall, with the company extending a message of condolences to the former wrestler's family and friends.

"WWE is saddened to learn that two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall has passed away," WWE said in a tweet.
"WWE extends its condolences to Hall’s family, friends and fans."

Meanwhile, the 63-year-old is understood to have suffered three heart attacks on Saturday, March 12, leading to his hospitalisation at a Georgia facility.

Kevin Nash, who was part of Hall's WWE clique would later reveal the hall of famer is unlikely to make it out alive.

Scott Hall WWE career

Hall enjoyed an illustrious career in the ring spanning decades having made his debut in the 80s.

A serial WWE Intercontinental Champion, Hall became the main event star when he teamed up with Curt Hennig to form the AWA tag team.

The Bad Guy, as he was fondly known by his fans is widely acclaimed for his role in revolutionizing the ladder match after his iconic encounter with Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania X back in 1994.

Top 20 richest WWE stars

Earlier, Sports Brief reported WWE legends John Cena, The Rock, Triple H, and Steve Austin are among the richest WWE stars according to a recently revealed rich list.

However, the quartet still comes short of the company's chairman, Vince McMahon, who currently tops the charts with a net worth of £1.2 billion.

The trio of Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns all failed to make the top 20 list, with Reigns' net worth of £9.2m affording him a place in number 21.
