Who would have guessed reality TV star Kim Kardashian and retired UFC superstar Conor Mc Gregor were related?

The two are actually distant relatives via Scottish Royalty.

Mc Gregor, who recently learnt of his connection to Kim K, took to Twitter to make public the news, as he “welcomed Kim to the family”.

Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian’s mother, has ancestry in Scotland and is related to Robert Roy MacGregor.

Robert was a rebel and renown cattle rustler who passed away in 1734 at the age of 63.

He was a peripheral figure back in the day and an integral member of Scotland’s oldest clans.

Actor Liam Neeson actually portrayed MacGregor’s historic adventures in the 1995 film Rob Roy.

The earliest hint that the Kardashians had Scottish ancestry were publicly highlighted when Kim’s sister Kourtney named her daughter Penelope Scotland Disick.

McGregor, who has a rather infamous reputation, spoke in 2016 about his ancestry where he sensationally attributed his hardcore nature to his past people.

"My family originated from the Scottish highlands, they fought for their independence. It's something that runs in my family's history, I've become obsessed with that a little bit,” he said in 2015.
