Cameron Saaiman will get his first taste of main card action at UFC Vegas 81.
The undefeated Bantamweight will fight Christian Rodriguez at the event, looking to continue his unbeaten run.
As noted by ESPN, Saaiman is unbeaten in nine professional fights, winning six of those by KO/TKO.
Rodriguez also has nine wins to his name but has suffered one defeat.
Rodriguez injured ahead of previous fight
The two youngsters were scheduled to face each other earlier in the year. Rodriguez was forced to withdraw from their scheduled prelim fight at UFC 290 and was replaced by Terence Mitchell, MMA Junkie reported.
The South African defeated Mitchell by KO/TKO in that fight.
Saaiman excited for fight against Rodriguez
Having made his previous UFC appearances in prelim fights, Saaiman is excited to fight at the Apex on the main card and highlighted his game plan for victory.
He described his opponent as level-headed and composed, especially in the stand-up, much like himself, and he hoped they could put on a performance bonus-earning fight in Vegas.
Saaiman also outlined that he aimed to finish the fight within two rounds.
Saaiman wants UFC in Africa
As Sports Brief also reported, Saaiman would love to see UFC allowing South Africa to host a pay-per-view.

Saaiman made his debut at the event held in Las Vegas, defeating Steven Koslow in the third round by TKO.
