Israel Adesanya and Jon Jones have been bitter rivals for years, but judging by their recent video together, you might not say that.
The duo ran into each other and shared a funny moment, seemingly squashing their beef in the process.
In a video shared on social media Adesanya can be heard chuckling, saying 'first Alex, now Jones'.
The Last Stylebender was referring to another recent video he shared where he ran into another fierce rival of his, Alex Pereira, at an airport.
Jones then put his arm around Adesanya’s neck, with the Middleweight champ asking him to chill before they both share a laugh in the clip on Instagram - warning: the video contains explicit language.
Adesanya and Jones' rivalry
As noted by Bloody Elbow, Adesanya claimed the rivalry between the two started around 2020. He claimed that Jones, who was fighting in the Lightweight division at that stage, mentioned wanting to fight him.
The Last Stylebender, a fan of the American, said he could not understand why Bones wanted to take him on, and a back-and-forth started between the two.
Jones praises Adesanya
More recently, Jones put aside his beef with Adesanya to praise the Middleweight champ, MMA Fighting noted.
“In the UFC, my favourite fighter right now, I hate to admit it, but I would say Israel Adesanya,” Jones said. “He and I are not friends, but he’s probably the most entertaining guy in the organisation right now.”
With the beef seemingly settled now, both men can look forward to focusing on defending their respective titles.
Jones is tipped to face Stipe Miocic for the Heavyweight strap, while Adesanya will take on the winner of the fight between Dricus du Plessis and Robert Whittaker.
