As noted by Sports Illustrated, Onama finished the fight in the second round when he brutally knocked out Santos.

Speaking after the fight, the Ugandan explained that his recreation of the arrow celebration was not a spur-of-the-moment thing and that he wanted to pay tribute to The Last Stylebender all along, MMA Junkie reported.

“That’s my guy, Izzy. Izzy fought a Brazilian, and I was like, ‘I’m going to do what Izzy did. I’m going to knock this kid out; then I’m going to celebrate like Izzy’. And it showed, so,” Onama explained.

Adesanya performed the celebration when he knocked out his Brazilian nemesis, Alex Pereira, to reclaim the UFC Middleweight title.

Onama’s celebration wasn’t the only thing that caught the eye - his performance also did. His spectacular knockout was named Performance of the Night by the UFC and resulted in a bonus.

Onama couldn’t contain his excitement after picking up a win at UFC Jacksonville on the same card where Ilia Topuria and Josh Emmett fought.

The Ugandan Featherweight broke out the Adesanya celebration style after defeating Gabriel Santos in round two of their main card bout.

With the victory secured, Onama shot to his feet and started celebrating by pretending to fire arrows at his fallen foe, Sports Brief reported.

Adesanya knocks out Alex Pereira

Sports Brief previously reported how Izzy regained his UFC Middleweight title with a stunning knockout of Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 287.

Adesanya rattled Pereira with a hook and followed it up with another big shot, knocking his rival out before marking the win with his famous celebration.
