Ugandan MMA sensation, David Onama, is a huge fan Nigeria’s Israel Adesanya.
The featherweight athlete, who beat Gabriel Santos at UFC Jacksonville, even celebrated like Izzy following his recent victory.
As noted by Sports Illustrated, Onama finished the fight in the second round when he brutally knocked out Santos.
Speaking after the fight, the Ugandan explained that his recreation of the arrow celebration was not a spur-of-the-moment thing and that he wanted to pay tribute to The Last Stylebender all along, MMA Junkie reported.

“That’s my guy, Izzy. Izzy fought a Brazilian, and I was like, ‘I’m going to do what Izzy did. I’m going to knock this kid out; then I’m going to celebrate like Izzy’. And it showed, so,” Onama explained.
Adesanya performed the celebration when he knocked out his Brazilian nemesis, Alex Pereira, to reclaim the UFC Middleweight title.
