The first round was a back-and-forth battle as both men landed shots, and Santos showed off his impressive submission game. The Brazilian fighter attempted to lock in numerous armbars whenever Onama had top control.

The second round was following a similar route until Onama stepped up the pressure. The Ugandan fighter landed some good shots and evaded Santos' blows, and eventually dropped the Brazilian.

Onama landed a brutal uppercut which rocked Santos, and then hit him with another straight shot. While Santos was going down, Onama landed another blow to the face.

He followed it up with quickfire hammer fists while the referee rushed to stop the fight. With the victory secured, Onama shot up to his feet and started celebrating by pretending to fire arrows at his fallen foe.

The celebration became famous after Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya performed it after beating Alex Pereira for the belt. The victory saw Onama extend his record to 11 wins and just two losses.
