New Zealander-Nigerian mixed martial artist, Israel Adesanya has reportedly been dragged to court by his ex-girlfriend.
Adesanya's relationship with a woman - said to be named Charlotte Powdrell - came to the limelight four years ago after they were sighted publicly together for the first time.
The pair first garnered attention after a photo surfaced online of him posing with the woman, following his victory over Robert Whittaker at UFC 243, Sportskeeda reported.
Reports now suggest 'the Last Stylebender' is set for controversy after Powdrell, who is reportedly a real estate agent in New Zealand, demanded half of his net worth.

The new revelation was disclosed by UFC fighter, Sean O’Malley, while speaking on a podcast streamed by Suga on YouTube.
According to O'Malley, Powdrell was never married to the UFC Middleweight champion and they have no children together.
Despite this, Adesanya's ex-girlfriend still believes she is entitled to half of his wealth because she supported him throughout his fighting career.
“Izzy’s ex-girlfriend… She wants half of his assets,” O'Malley said. “I don’t know how their relationship was because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend, but to want half of what he’s gone out there and done is absolutely ridiculous.”
Adesanya and Powdrell reportedly called it quits previously, although the reason for their split is not publicly known.

FootballAs reported by Sportskeeda, the UFC champion recently posted a series of scathing Instagram Stories which seem to be directed at his former lover, and even pointed to the recent saga surrounding professional footballer, Achraf Hakimi.
Meanwhile, weeks after Izzy reclaimed his UFC title from Alex Pereira, the two middleweights are still exchanging words on social media.
Adesanya knocked out Pereira in the second round on April 8 to claim his first win after three successive losses against the Brazilian.
Despite the recent loss to the Last Stylebender, Pereira commented online that he is still the better fighter, Sports Brief has reported.
As reported, Adesanya faces no shortage of challengers after winning back the UFC Middleweight title.
The Nigerian-born Kiwi defeated Pereira for the title in the main event of UFC 287 and wants more fights.
