Weeks after Israel Adesanya reclaimed his UFC middleweight title from Alex Pereira, the two stars are still exchanging words on social media.
Adesanya trounced Pereira via knockout in the second round on April 8 at the Kaseya Centre in Miami, to claim his first win in four attempts over the Brazilian.
Pereira has beaten Adesanya two times before during their kickboxing days as well as last year, when he took the middleweight title away from him.
It is this chronology of events that formed the basis of their fresh round of online feuding, with Pereira tweeting on April 29:

"We are the best. But I’m still better. Numbers don’t lie. 3:1."
Adesanya did not take the swipe lightly and responded with a jab of his own.
"It’s [quality] over quantity over here. 3-1, you can keep that. Whatever helps you [sleep] at night."

As the Mirror reports, the Nigerian-born fighter has since ruled out a third match between the two fighters, insisting their rivalry is over.
Pereira has already intimated that he intends to move up to the light heavyweight category, meaning he and Adesanya are unlikely to cross paths again.

At the same time, Sports Brief has reported that Adesanya isn't holding back when it comes to his thoughts about Dricus du Plessis.
The Nigerian-born New Zealander wants to fight the South African next and is apparently still upset with him over recent comments.
Du Plessis spoke previously about possibly winning gold in the UFC and taking the belt back to Africa, upsetting the Last Stylebender.
