Jon Jones is the new UFC Heavyweight champion.
Bones returned to the organisation after three years and made light work of Ciryl Gane, submitting the French fighter in the first round of their title fight.
Jones' entry to the cage lasted longer than the entire fight as Bones wasn't allowed into the Octagon until some tape on his foot was cut off. Jones had the tape on his toe and foot after he suffered a nasty injury to it in a previous fight.

Once he got into the ring, the action started and immediately stopped within the first seven seconds of the fight. Gane accidentally landed a low blow but Bones didn’t take long to shake it off and the action resumed.
It then didn't take long for Jones to take the fight to the ground. Jones ducked under a punch from Bon Gamin and immediately went for a clinch, dragging Gane to the ground. Using his strength, he pushed Gane up against the cage and within seconds he managed to hook in a guillotine choke.
The hold was so deep in that Gane had no choice but to tap within a few seconds. Suffering no damage during the fight, apart from the low blow, Jones is ready for a quick turnaround and called out Stipe Miocic next.
Miocic is a former two-time heavyweight champion and is considered the best heavyweight champion, a title that Jones wants for his own.
