Legendary tennis player Serena Williams made a shock pregnancy announcement of a second pregnancy at the Met Gala Red Carpet on May 2nd.
Williams revealed the news to reporters as she made an appearance alongside her husband Alex Ohanian, in New York. The couple has a daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr, who was born in 2017.
The 23-time Grand Slam winner took to Instagram to confirm the reports after Vogue's editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and Met Gala's co-chair invited her to this year's event, as the Guardian reports.

Wholesome footage of the event online showed Ohanian placing his hand affectionately on Williams' midsection. The couple has been married since 2017.
Has Serena Williams retired?
Williams is yet to outrightly confirm her retirement from the sport, but the feeling is she will never participate in a competitive match again. In September last year, she opted to use the word 'evolve away from tennis' instead of 'retirement.'
The 41-year-old teased her baby bump in a black Gucci dress.
The other sports stars who graced the event include NFL star Patrick Mahomes and retired tennis star Roger Federer.

Previously, Sports Brief reported that American tennis legend, Serena Williams is amazed by the level of development of the sport in Ghana.
The 20-time Grand Slam winner reacted after spotting photos from the 2023 National Junior Tournament, currently ongoing in Accra.
Williams took to social media to express her excitement, sharing some photos from the event on her IG story. The National Junior Tournament started on March 31 and will run through to May, as the best tennis players in the country are assembled for the national team.
