New Zealand superstar Samuel Whitelock shared a memorable moment with his kids when he introduced them to South Africa’s Damian de Allende.

The All-Black star and the Springboks player showed mutual respect to each other shortly after the defending champions retained their Rugby World Cup title.

It was a record fourth title for the Springboks, who managed a narrow 11-12 win over a 14-man All-Blacks on Saturday night.

The 2023 Rugby World Cup final had all the sparks, with a very intense encounter inside the famous Stade de France in Paris.

With one man sent off after captain Sam Cane saw his yellow card upgraded to a red in the first half, New Zealand pulled off a staggering recovery but eventually lost narrowly, Eurosport reports.

The boot of Handre Pollard saw them over the line despite a late Beauden Barrett try as the Springboks managed to defend their title.

Despite being on the losing side, Samuel Whitelock brought out his adorable kids on the pitch and introduced them to Allende in the course of the celebration.

The emotional moment was captured, and fans on social media have hailed the superstars for their mutual respect.

President Ramaphosa hails Springboks

Sports Brief earlier reported that President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulated the Springboks following their win over New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday.

Ramaphosa, who was in the stands in Paris, was stunned by the performance of his countrymen in the highly entertaining encounter.

He described the historic victory as extraordinary and inspiring, saying it will aid national development.
