World Cup finals are few and far between, as are the resources to get to one.

For those who doubted the Springboks or All Blacks would get this far, you may have left it too late to see what is being billed as the best Rugby World Cup final for 28 years.

The last time these two giants met at this stage was the 1995 final, a moment which is carved into the hearts of Springboks fans forever.

If you were wanting to leave your couch or pub to watch the game inside the Stade de France you will need a ticket, airfare and somewhere to stay.

Tickets for the final have been sold out for ages but some are available via World Rugby's official resale platform.

Category One tickets are those parallel with the touchlines and an unofficial reseller has pitchside tickets going for 1680 Euros, or roughly R33 800.

The cheapest resale tickets on offer are in the uppermost terraces, costing roughly R9 700.

The average return flight to Paris will set the traveller back R13 000.

A stay in the HotelF1 Saint-Denis across the road from the stadium is advertised at just under R2500 a night, with the more posh Ibis Paris Saint-Denis costing just over R6000 per night.

No rugby much would be complete without proper lubrication, and at Bar Tabac Le Président, a 2km walk to the stadium, you can get a pint of lager for about R160.

To celebrate after the game, cocktail bar Le Lipstick, just 4km from your accommodation has seasonal cocktails on offer for about R200 a pop.

For the cost of the flights, the game, a bed, five pints and two cocktails, ensure you have at least R26 700 in your pocket, double if you want to take a friend.
