The victory left their coach, Ivan van Rooyen extremely proud of the team and excited about what they can do going forward, The Citizen reported.

“I am immensely proud. The guys worked extremely hard to get this result, especially with the red card. You could see by the end, there were guys that were just exhausted,” he said.

Warriors send a warning

While the Lions are still on a high after their impressive victory, their next opponents are already laser-focused on the task at hand.

As reported by SuperSport, assistant coach, Pete Horne fired a warning toward the South African side, while praising Warriors coach, Pete Horne.

“Everybody is gunning for it, and hopefully, we can sell out the stadium this weekend. It would be a massive occasion if we were to make a semi-final, but coach Franco Smith has been really good about not looking too far ahead. He’s all about the process. So let’s go smash the Lions this weekend and see what happens.”

The Glasgow Warriors booked their spot in the quarter-final as they trounced the Dragons. The Warriors won the match 73-33 and will be hoping to continue that momentum against the South African team.
