The Emirates Lions still have a chance of securing a playoff spot in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship.
The South African side kept their hopes alive as they beat the Vodacom Bulls in an action-packed match at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
The Lions secured a 29-25 win but didn't have it all their own way, Springboks.Rugby reported.
The Lions led 20-3, but the home side fought back valiantly and took the lead with 20 minutes to go. Sanele Nohamba then converted two penalty goals in the last 15 minutes as the Lions picked up their second victory in a row.

The Bulls were gutted by the defeat, with captain Ruan Nortjé expressing how disappointing it was to lose two games in a row, IOL reported.
“I’m lost for words. It’s frustrating and tough to lose two games in a row at Loftus. Obviously, the guys kept on fighting until the end, but that’s not good enough when you give away silly penalties and your discipline is not up to standard. That’s probably why the result went against us,” he said.
While the Bulls were disappointed with the result, there was a moment in the game which would have brightened their spirits. Sibongile Novuka produced a brilliant piece of play to set up Wandisile Simelane for a try.
The ball appeared to be going out, and the Lions' players were covering it off so it could go over the line, but Novuka had other plans. He stuck a leg out through the defence and connected with the ball to feed it to Simelane.
