NBASome Springbok Supporters Start Questioning Jacques Nienaber's Suitability for Coaching Job
- Some Springbok fans are starting to climb on coach Jacques Nienaber's back
- South Africa has come off two poor back-to-back defeats in the Rugby Championship to New Zealand and Australia earlier today
- This has led to mutterings about Nienaber's fitness for the job now turning into loud conversations
Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber is starting to feel the heat from a significant amount of the team's supporters.
South Africa was soundly defeated 25-17 by Australia in a Rugby Championship match earlier today. This was a couple of weeks after they were turned over 35-23 by New Zealand in Johannesburg.
There were whispers already about his appointment as coach back in 2020 after Rassie Erasmus stepped down, with his lack of experience as a head coach the basis of the doubt. The Boks have been inconsistent since he took over, and have not improved much since winning the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
During and after the loss today, many observers went on social media to make their feelings known about Nienaber.

"When we play well, Rassie this, Rassie that. When we play poorly, Nienaber this, Nienaber that. The sooner we see them as a Unit, the sooner we can provide constructive criticism. #AUSvRSA"
Australia’s Nic White ridiculed for ‘acting skills’ in Rugby Championship match against South Africa
Nicolas White has a career in football or acting if it doesn’t work out for him on the rugby field.
As reported by Sports Brief, that’s how many fans feel after White’s performance for Australia against South Africa in the Rugby Championship. The scrumhalf came under fire for his acting skills in the first half which saw South Africa’s Faf de Klerk sent off. De Klerk attempted to swipe the ball out of White’s hands, but lightly made contact with his face instead.
Despite the slightest contact being made, White waited a few seconds before falling to his knees. He at first attempted to grab his own neck to pretend he was hit in the throat before just sitting there too injured to move.
