The collision between Western Province winger Angelo Davids and his opposite in Free State Cheetahs continues to be a subject of much debate.

Many feel Morne Ferreira should have stopped play for Specman's safety.

Maynard Grieb said:

"Game should have been stopped. Could see he had no clue where he was trying to get up... but how did the medics keep him on the field, he still got up, tried to make a tackle but fell over his own feet trying..."

Lwando Unyambose said:

"The medical staff should have come onto the field and dealt with him. The ref was correct in letting the game go on because there was no foul play. If refs stop games because of perceived concussions players will start acting to disrupt the momentum of the opposition."

Llewellyn Daniels said:

"Terrible mistake by the referee and in my opinion he should be brought in front of a disciplinary panel for not looking after the player's safety. But I also blame the coaching staff for not taking their player off the field."
