Most hole-in-ones are made on par three holes (up to 250 yards) because they are shorter than other categories.
Mike Crean, D. Hogan, Jack Bartlett, Larry Bruce, and Shaun Lynch are the only golfers to hit a hole-in-one in a par five hole. Bruce was the first to achieve it in 1962 in a 480-yard fifth hole at Hope C.C. in Arkansas. In 1973, Hogan's 456-yard strike went in at Piedmont Crescent Golf Course in Burlington, North Carolina State.
