The hunt for medals will continue for Team Africa on Day 4 of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Thus far, only South Africa (six), Nigeria (three), Uganda (one), Kenya (one), Mauritius (one), Tanzania (one), and Namibia (one) have registered on the medals chart. This number is expected to rise in the remaining days of the competition.

Exciting Nigerian athlete sets new Commonwealth Games record, wins the country’s second gold medal
Team Nigeria has now won two gold medals at the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth Games as Folashade Rafiatu Lawal sets a new record on Sunday.
As reported by Sports Brief, the 25-year-old won the medal in the women’s 59kg weightlifting event after lifting a total of 206kg to set a Commonwealth record for accumulated lifts.
It was also a Commonwealth record in her category as she lifted a staggering 90kg for her first lift.
