Wembanyama was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Months before the draft, he was tipped to achieve big things and was even compared to some NBA icons.

He was dubbed as the most hyped draft prospect since LeBron James. So how do his stats in the first 10 NBA games compare to James and Jordan? Sports Brief takes a look.

Victor Wembanyama's first 10 NBA games

The 7-foot-4 French phenom finished with 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting, including 3-for-5 from deep, five rebounds, two assists, and a block in just over 23 minutes in Spurs 126-119 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks.

Wembanyama dropped a career-high 38 points earlier this month when the Spurs upset the Phoenix Suns.

Here are his points in the first 10 NBA games: 15, 21, 11, 18, 38, 20, 13, 14, 29, 18 (total 197).

Despite his towering frame, Wemby has only recorded double-digit rebounds four times. He has a total of 88 rebounds, which ranks 19th in the league.

Only Los Angeles Lakers star, Anthony Davis has more blocks (27) than Wembanyama (24).

Therefore, the French star has put up 19.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.4 blocks in his first 10 NBA games.

LeBron James' first 10 NBA games

James has put up a legendary career and is currently playing in his 21st NBA season. He has won almost everything in his career, but it has been a long journey.

The 38-year-old was the first pick in the 2003 NBA Draft straight from high school. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him.

His points in his first 10 NBA games were: 25, 21, 8, 7, 23, 17, 17, 18, 10, 22 (total 168)

This means he averaged 16.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 10 games in his first 10 games. Thus, Wembanyama is doing better than James after the first 10 games.

Michael Jordan's first 10 NBA games

By acclamation, Jordan is regarded as the best basketball player ever. The Chicago Bulls selected him with the No. 3 pick in the 1984 NBA Draft.

The 1990s belonged to Jordan and the Bulls. However, he was incredible in his first few seasons in the 1980s. 'His Airness' averaged a sensational 28.2 points in his first season (1984/85).

In his first 10 NBA games, he scored 16, 21, 37, 25, 17, 25, 33, 27, 45, and 27 (total 273).

The Bulls legends averaged a superb 27.3 points per game in his first 10 NBA games. Here's a summary of Wembanyama, Jordana and James' stats after 10 NBA games.
