  • Drake found time to watch basketball in Los Angeles with the NBA in the off-season
  • The Canadian rapper caught Kevin Durant and other NBA stars in a recent open run
  • Drake got to hang out with the Phoenix Suns superstar and they had a laugh together

Popular musician, Drake, pulled up to one of the NBA's open runs in Los Angeles and got to hang out with Kevin Durant. The rapper was rocking a new hairstyle that got fans talking on social media.

The NBA is currently in the offseason, and we're seeing players from different teams link up to play the game they love.

The 36-year-old Canadian rapper was captured in a video entering the gym before taking a seat in the stands with a few fans.

Durant and Oklahoma City Thunder big man, Chet Holmgren, participated in the run. Others involved were Trae Young, Michael Porter Jr, and Jalen Green.

Open runs give fans who miss the NBA an opportunity to watch their favorite players without having to spend a fortune on tickets.

Drake is a Toronto Raptors superfan and a diehard basketball fan. He is a presence in Toronto's home games and has even exchanged words with some NBA stars like Durant and Stephen Curry.

This time around, he was seen hanging out with Durant in the stands and having a laugh, per Through the Lens.

The Suns' star probably asked him when the new album will drop, or perhaps the rapper asked the NBA superstar to join the Raptors, a team that has struggled since winning the 2019 NBA championship.

Durant moving to Toronto is highly unlikely, though.

Raptors general manager, Masai Ujiri, has been busy in Rwanda with the Giants of Africa. He has been criticized for failing to make significant moves in free agency, per the Athletic.

Durant reacts to Suns playoff exit

Sports Brief earlier reported on Durant describing the Suns' playoff exit as an embarrassment.

The Phoenix team exited the postseason in humiliating fashion for the second straight season.

Last season, the Suns lost in round two to the Dallas Mavericks and were down 30 at halftime.
