The game in question was on October 25, 2022, between the Warriors and the Suns. Booker's team comfortably won the game 135-104.

The one-half of the Splash Brothers struggled, going 1-for-8 from the field for two points and two assists in 18 minutes.

The target of his taunt, Booker, was on fire and finished with 34 points (on 10-for-19 shooting), two rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

It was an ill-tempered game. Seven technical fouls were called in less than six minutes, with Thomspon receiving two technical fouls before getting ejected. Booker also got a technical after a heated exchange.

Before he got his first career ejection in 651 regular season games, Thompson held up four fingers to signify the four championships he helped the Warriors win.

Thomspon apologetic about Booker incident

Speaking with George, Thompson said he regrets flexing his 4 NBA rings gesture to Booker:

"Yeah, I was in my feelings though and Book was busting my [expletive] that day. I was not where I needed to be. You know stuff doesn’t age well and that didn’t age well for me. I don’t need to be flexing four rings, bro, like everybody knows that. That’s on Wikipedia. My game wasn’t where it was at and we all get insecure at times."

The five-time All-Star is happy Booker is thriving at Phoenix now after a tough few years.

"He survived a tough regime in Phoenix where everyone getting traded, he’s playing for a new coach every year but now he’s a franchise player cause he just kept working. So, I admire the guys who have work ethic like that, you know?"

Booker led the Suns to the 2021 NBA Finals, but they fell short, losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.

Origin of 'Game 6 Klay'

Sports Brief earlier reported on the origin of 'Game 6 Klay' as one-half of the Splash Brothers continues to impress for the Golden State Warriors.

A Game 5 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016 Western Conference finals set the stage for one of the most iconic NBA performances.

On May 28, 2016, Thompson erupted for 41 points and drained 11 3-pointers in Game 6, helping the Warriors force a Game 7, which they then won.
