NBA superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo is enjoying his time in Nigeria after visiting Lagos with his mother.

The Milwaukee Bucks player, who was born to Nigerian parents in Greece, took the opportunity to visit the West African nation as he traces back to his lineage.

Antetokounmpo also engaged aspiring basketball players in Lagos, giving them lessons on the basics of becoming an NBA star.

The 2021 NBA champion shared his excitement on social media as he spends family time with his mother in Nigeria.

"Finally made it to Nigeria with mama," wrote the NBA player.

The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player is an inspiration to many across the continent of Africa, with his story an example of determination and perseverance.

He is expected to return to the United States in few weeks time to begin preparations ahead of the 2023 NBA season.

The 28-year-old will be hoping to recover from the disappointment of last season after the Bucks were eliminated from the first round of the play-offs, as reported by ctvnews.ca.

Antetokounmpo organises basketball clinic for kids

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was spotted in Lagos, Nigeria, playing basketball with kids during a basketball camp, Youth Alive Basketball Championship.

Antetokou8nmpo is in the offseason and is reportedly visiting the country where his father and mother were born.

In videos that have gone viral online, the 28-year-old was seen playing basketball with the kids at the camp and even sitting down and having a chat with them. Hundreds of fans surrounded the court to watch arguably the best player in the world, according to Philip Braide.

Al Hilal react to Antetokuonmpo's joke

Giannis Antetokounmpo has seen his humorous request to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal to sign him instead of Kylian Mbappe accepted, but he would be disappointed with the offer.

Mbappe is embattled at Paris Saint-Germain, with the club ready to force him out unless he signs a new contract to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Al-Hilal have reportedly submitted a world-record bid of €300m to the French club to sign the forward, whom they are willing to offer a mouthwatering salary of €700m.
