Poole was a key player for the Warriors during the 2022 NBA championship run and took a step further, playing a key role in a difficult 2022/23 season. He averaged 20.4 points per game, a new NBA career high after signing a $140 million extension.

The 2022/23 season began on the wrong foot for Poole, who was punched by teammate Draymond Green in practice.
