- Draymond Green is excited about playing alongside veteran point guard Chris Paul next season
- The Golden State Warriors veteran feels Paul will add variety and 'unlock' Jonathan Kuminga

The Golden State Warriors have been coming to terms with the fact that their long-time enemy, Chris Paul, is now part of their team - and it is going to take some getting used to.
Draymond Green has been outspoken before about his dislike for Paul but recently named two important things the veteran NBA point guard will add to their team.
The Warriors are coming off a season where they reached the second round and need to make a few changes as they try to maximize Stephen Curry's championship window.
The deal to acquire Paul from the Washington Wizards also saw Jordan Poole go in the opposite direction, per Adrian Wojnarowski, adding valuable experience to the team.
Curry recently said the 38-year-old improves every team he is on, and he is right. Paul helped the Phoenix Suns reach the 2021 NBA Finals after years of mediocrity. Coach, Steve Kerr, said the trade happened because the Warriors needed a shift.
Green on what Paul brings
Speaking on Paul George’s Podcast P, the Warriors veteran said the 18-year-veteran will also help 'unlock' Jonathan Kuminga next season.
“I think Chris Paul will completely unlock Jonathan Kuminga and his growth. CP is great with young guys. Deandre Ayton looked like a bust before CP came to Phoenix. No disrespect to Ayton, more so a nod to CP. What he would do for Jonathan Kuminga and unlocking Kuminga is huge.”

NBAGreen added that Paul will bring variety to the Warriors' offense.
"Our team last year didn’t have a variety of ways to score, and I think CP adds another thing to the menu to address the topic of a variety of ways to score. CP plays totally different than Steph, totally different than Klay, totally different than myself and Jordan Poole…"
Kuminga played off the bench in his first two NBA seasons, averaging 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.
