The Hornets nevertheless drafted a big man that can do almost everything. He can shoot, handle the ball and defend multiple positions, per CBS Sports. At 20 years old, he has plenty of room to develop and become a key piece for the Hornets as they enter a new era.

Jordan calls Miller

Miller was one of four players who received a call from Jordan on Thursday night, and it's something he'll cherish forever.

Jordan hilariously asked Miller if he could palm a ball yet.

"Of course," Miller said, as Jordan laughed. "I was palming a ball like a couple days ago," via Bleacher Report. "Well welcome man, I'm looking forward to seeing you play. You iknow what happens now right? You gotta get to work dude. I'm very proud. Very happy to have you."

Miller recently revealed Jordan trash-talked him. During the pre-draft press conference, Miller called Jordan a regular guy.

"He told me I was just a shooter, just shooting threes. ... I kind of talked some trash back to him," Miller said. "I witnessed him air-ball a free throw, too, so I'll always have that up against him."

The Hornets also selected 19-year-old guard Nick Smith Jr. with the 27th overall pick. They added James Nnaji, a 6-foot-11 center from FC Barcelona, and UCLA guard Amari Bailey in the second round, per ESPN.
