The 2022/23 NBA season was one for the books. We witnessed so many great moments that it would be difficult to fit all of them into one article.
The highlight was LeBron James breaking NBA's all-time scoring record, Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole in practice, and Ja Morant's gun situation.
The Denver Nuggets ended their NBA championship drought, and Nikola Jokic silenced many doubters by winning the Finals MVP.

10. Diar DeRozan's ear-splitting screams
DeMar DeRozan's daughter Diar was the MVP for the Chicago Bulls during their play-in tournament win over the Toronto Raptors in April despite not playing a single second. Her ear-piercing screams distracted Raptors players on the free throw line, forcing them to miss half of them as they lost 109-105, per Bleacher Report.
9. Klay Thompson's four rings gesture
The 2022 NBA champions Golden State Warriors, had an interesting campaign. Draymond Green punching Jordan Poole was the biggest moment. But Klay Thompson's four fingers gesture while the Warriors were losing is still a funny moment. In March, when the Warriors faced rivals Memphis Grizzlies, Thompson flashed four fingers -- which represents the four rings he has -- at the Grizzlies with 17.1 seconds left. He also did it to Phoenix's Devin Booker earlier in the season, per CBS Sports.

LeBron James became NBA's all-time leading scorer in February when the Lakers played the Oklahoma City Thunder. One hilarious moment NBA Twitter spotted was Thomas Bryant appeared to be calling for the ball under the basket as the big man posted up. It was a great moment, and NBA fans made jokes about it.
6. Grant Williams's promise goes awry
In March, Boston Celtics forward Grant Williams had the chance to win the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers by making just one of two free throws with eight-tenths of a second left in the game. He repeatedly told Cavs Donovan Mitchell he'd make both -- only to miss both. Celtics lost the game 118-114 in overtime, per NBC Sports.

After the Grizzlies beat the Lakers in Game of the playoffs in the first round, Brooks trolled James by calling him old. He also said, “I poke bears — I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40," per the Athletic. That comment elicited an angry response from Lakers fans, who relentlessly attacked him on social media. In Game 6, the Lakers beat the Grizzlies beat them by 40 to knock them out of the playoffs. That comment made Brooks the biggest supervillain in the NBA.
4. Draymond Green punches Poole
Months after winning the NBA title, things changed quickly at Golden State after Draymond Green sucker-punched Jordan Poole before the start of the season. TMZ leaked the video, and it shook the Warriors organization to the core. He apologized and later appeared on TNT to reflect on the altercation with a seven-and-a-half-minute video. The altercation affected their season as they struggled to replicate their performances from the previous season.

Gobert punched his teammate Kykle Anderson during a timeout in the second quarter of their vital 113-108 win over the New Orleans Pelicans in the play-in tournament. Gobert was sent home after the incident. The two were reportedly arguing about rebounding and defense, per CBS Sports.
2. Patrick Beverley shows camera to referee
Beverley, then a Lakers player, was hit with one of the weirdest technicals during a game against the Celtics in January. James was fouled as he attempted a game-winning layup late in the game, but the referees missed the foul. Beverley did not let that lie down. The veteran guard hilariously took a camera and showed it to referee Eric Lewis who immediately T'd him up.

Beverley's hilarious moment came after James was fouled while attempting a layup. James was livid after the referees failed to make the call. With the game tied at 105 apiece, the Lakers had a chance to win it at the death. James missed the layup but was clearly smacked on the hand by Jayson Tatum. The 20-year veteran could not believe he was not given a foul. He jumped up and down the court, held his hands on his head in disbelief, falling to his knees on the hardwood. The Lakers lost the game in overtime, per ESPN.
