Philadelphia 76ers star, Joel Embiid is back home in Cameroon after a long NBA season.
The NBA Most Valuable Player helped the Sixers reach the second round of the play-offs before getting eliminated by the Boston Celtics.
Embiid is currently on holidays and took time off to play street soccer with his hometown folks.
In a video shared on social media, the 7-foot basketballer player displayed incredible skills which left his friends stunned.
The University of Kansas alumni tried an acrobatic flick following a pass from his teammate but could not get the right hit.
Embiid was crowned the NBA MVP after playing a leading role in the Sixers' run in the just ended NBA season.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Embiid said, as quoted by The Guardian. “A lot of hard work. I’ve been through a lot. I’m not just talking about basketball. I’m talking about my life. My story. Where I come from. How I got here and what it took for me to be here.”
He starred as Philadelphia finished third in the Eastern Conference during the regular season.
The 29-year-old then inspired the Sixers as they swept Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the play-offs before their 3-4 series defeat to the Celtics.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Cameroonian NBA star, Joel Embiid has been immortalized in Philadelphia after a mural was painted to honor the 2023 Most Valuable Player.
The Philadelphia 76ers player has been instrumental for the franchise in the NBA regular season and has continued his stellar performances in the play-offs as well.
