As the final seconds of Game 5 clock ticked off, the crowd at Ball Arena erupted in cheers and celebrations. They had not seen their team win an NBA title in 47 years, and those raucous celebrations were warranted.

Nikola Jokic won the Finals MVP to cap off a legendary run in the playoffs. The 'Joker' averaged 30.2 points, 14 rebounds, and 7.2 assists, per USA Today.

Jamal Murray was a great sidekick for Jokic. The 26-year-old made a great comeback from an ACL tear and carried the team in some games in the postseason.

44th US President, Barack Obama congratulated Denver for their win via Twitter.

NBA and Los Angeles Lakers icon, Magic Johnson also took to social media to give Denver a pat on the back.

Jokic proved all the doubting Thomases wrong with his performances. He broke a few records on the way, including becoming the first player to lead in total points (600), rebounds (269), and assists (190) in a single postseason.
