Miami Heat mascot, Burnie, was sent to the emergency room after getting knocked out by UFC superstar Conor McGregor during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

The former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight champion punched Burnie during a skit in which McGregor was promoting his line of pain relief spray.

According to the Athletic, the MMA legend clocked Brunuer with a hard left hook that sent him tumbling on the floor before striking him again on the ground. He sprayed his product on him while he was dragged away.

The skit started when Burnie confronted the Irishman while wearing boxing gloves, but the sheer power of McGregor's punch saw the mascot receive a medical examination.

Burnie was given pain medicines and then sent home. He is doing well, according to the Athletic's Sam Amick.

Heat go down 3-1

The MMA star stayed for the entire game, which the Heat lost 108-95 to go down 3-1. Erik Spoelstra's men now need to win the remaining three games, but many feel that will be a step too far. If they do, they'll become just the second team to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals.

They face the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 on Monday on the road. If they lose, it will still be a hugely successful season. They entered the playoffs as the 8th seed and are the second 8th seed to reach the NBA finals after New York Knicks in 1999, per ESPN.

Butler confident despite going 3-1 down

Sports Brief earlier reported on Heast star Jimmy Butler saying they are confident despite facing a precarious situation in the finals.

"We don't have no quit. We're going to continually fight starting [Saturday] to get better and then we're going to go on to Monday and do what we said we were going to do this entire time and win. We have to. We have no other choice."

Butker and the Heat have overcome adversity already this season and will have to do the same in the next three games.
