The Golden State Warrior's title defense was ended by the Los Angeles Lakers, who knocked them out in the secou=nd round of the NBA playoffs in six games.
The Lakers won Game 6 122-101 and will meet top-seed Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals.
After starting the season 2-10 and having to go through the play-in tournament, the Lakers are now four games away from the NBA finals, their first since 2020.
Moreover, the Lakers made wholesale changes to their roster midway through the season. In Game 6, they were led by 20-year veteran LeBron James who finished with 30 points on 10-for-14 shooting, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. He ended a streak of 18 straight playoff games scoring under 30 points.

How the Lakers won Game 6
The hosts made a 27-10 to start the game, but the Warriors cut it to five at the start of the second quarter. The Lakers had a solid 56-46 lead in the first half after a buzzer-beater from Austin Reaves, who finished with 23 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds, per ESPN.
Anthony Davis, who left Game 5 with an apparent head injury, was great too. He had 17 points and 10 of his 20 rebounds, per the Athletic.
The Lakers extended their lead to 19 points in the third quarter before the defending champions cut it to 11 in the fourth quarter. The Lakers then made an 11-0 run to seal the win.
Stephen Curry finished with 32 points. Donte DiVincenzo was the only other Warrior who scored in double figures.
