Devin Booker was on fire in Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets as his 47-point masterclass helped the Phoenix Suns win 121-114.
With that performance, Booker broke a few long-standing records, including one Michael Jordan record that was set in 1990. Booker is now averaging 36.9 points in the playoffs, the best in the NBA.
The Suns, favorites to reach the NBA Finals, went 0-2 down in their second series against the Nuggets and were staring at a dangerous 0-3 deficit. However, Booker's brilliance, combined with Kevin Durant's heroics, saw them win Game 3.
Booker and Durant combined for 86 points in a must-win game, per CBS Sports.

The shooting guard also had nine assists as he continued with his impressive postseason.
Booker makes history
With that performance, Booker has scored 295 points in these playoffs, the most by any player in the first eight games of the postseason since Michael Jordan in 1990, per ESPN.
The 26-year-old shot 20-of-25 from the floor and 5-of-8 from the three-point range.
With that performance, he also became only the second player in NBA history to shoot at least 80% from the field while scoring 45 points or more in a playoff game. He joined Dallas Mavericks icon Dirk Nowitzki, who did so in the 2011 Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
"Just trying to be aggressive, being ultra-aggressive," Booker said. "I understand that opens things up for my teammates when I play that way."

NBAMeanwhile, Durant scored 39 points on 12-of-31 shooting from the floor. He made 14 of his 16 free-throw attempts.
Suns the team to beat?
Sports Brief earlier reported that the Suns may be the team to beat in the playoffs since they have Durant and Booker.
They combined for 328 points in their five games against Los Angeles in the first round.
Booker and Durant became the first pair of teammates since Laker legends Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal in the 2003 postseason to each score at least 25 points in five consecutive games to start a playoff campaign.
However, their second round against the Nuggets has shown they are not invincible.
