Stephen Curry expects a totally different series for the Golden State Warriors against the Los Angeles Lakers in Round 2, after an emphatic Game 7 win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
The matchup will also see Curry and LeBron James meet in their fifth series matchup, their first since Game 4 of the 2018 NBA Finals.
The Lakers comfortably won Round 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies 4-2 in an eventful series that ended with Darvin Ham's team winning Game 6 by 40 points.
Meanwhile, Curry dropped 50 points in Game 7 against the Kings to seal the Warriors' advance.

The last time the Lakers and the Warriors met in the postseason was the 2021 Play-In Tournament. The Lakers won 103-100 to clinch the No. 7 seed.
A lot has happened since then. The Warriors won the 2022 NBA title, while the Lakers lost to the Phoenix Suns in the first round in 2021 before completely missing the playoffs in 2022, per the Athletic.
The involvement of Curry and James makes this series a dream for fans all over the world.
After an incredible performance against the Kings, Curry was asked about the Warriors' matchup with the Lakers.
He said the 17-time NBA champions would present a different challenge.
"[The Lakers are] totally different than the Kings. Present a lot of different challenges. We know LeBron really well. Played them a couple times since the trade [deadline], and they look extremely different. They're playing good basketball... they're big, we gotta be able to have everybody locked in on our preparation over the next 48 hours," Curry said, via SI.

NBACurry added he is happy to be facing James at this stage of their respective careers.
"It is special to know from the first series we played [LeBron] in Cleveland, the 14-15 season, to now - we're blessed to be playing at this level still. I'm excited about a new chapter."

They faced each other numerous times in the Warriors versus Cavaliers wars.
In the five playoff series they have played against each other, Curry is up 3-1.
