Butler scored 56 points, giving his team a commanding 3-1 series lead. His friend, football star Neymar was among thousands of fans who reacted to Butler's memorable display.

The veteran star checked back into the game with around eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, with the Heat trailing 98-87. The Bucks then suffered a spectacular collapse in the fourth quarter and much of that is thanks to the heroics of Butler.

Milwaukee had a seemingly solid 101-89 lead with six minutes left. Miami erased all of that, going on a 12-0 run to retake the lead. Butler scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to cap off a historic performance.

The six-time All-Star finished with 56 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and one block, shooting 19-of-28 from the field, per the Athletic.

The 33-year-old is now the sixth player in NBA history to score 56+ points in a playoff game. The Heat had to fight their way to the playoffs, winning a win-or-go-home Play-In game, and are on the brink of knocking out the top-seeded Bucks, per CBS Sports.

The NBA star is friends with the Paris Saint-Germain superstar. Butler has been spotted wearing Neymar's club and national team jerseys in pictures on Instagram, per NY Times.
