The Bulls defeated the Raptors 109-105 in the Play-In game, but their playoff hopes were crushed when Miami Heat beat them 102-91 to eliminate them from playoff contention. Diar was not in attendance in Miami.

Diar was the story of the night in Toronto. Her ear-splitting creams may have distracted the Raptors' free throw attempts. They went 18-of-36 (50%) from the free throw line in that game, setting up a stunning 19-point comeback win, per the Athletic.

DeRozan blasts online threats

Speaking after their defeat in Miami, the Bulls star said the threats are unacceptable

"It's crazy. It's the world we live in," DeRozan said. "No matter how good something could be, you still got miserable people that just don't have a life, honestly. It's sad. All I care about is my daughter enjoying her moment."

According to ESPN, the NBA notified the team of online threats directed at the nine-year-old. DeRozan said he daughter wouldn't attend the Miami game because she had school.

The 6x All-Star said her daughter is still a child.

"She's still a child, you know what I mean," DeRozan said. "I don't let her get caught up in the outside fix of it. She just came there for one reason and one reason only and that was to support her dad. She had the most fun with it. For me, I wanted to protect that moment for her."

The Bulls season is now over and will have plenty to ponder about in the offseason. It was another disappointing campaign.

How Bryant inspired DeRozan

Sports Brief also reported on how Bryant inspired Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan, who said without the late great, he wouldn't be playing basketball.

The guard said the late Laker star laid the foundation for him and everything DeRozan did in the sport was because of Bryant paving the way.

“My imagination and my foundation started from Kobe. Just watching him give me that imagination as a kid to want to shoot a fadeaway. To want to learn to pull up. To want to rock a ’fro. It started from that."
