Brooks is arguably the most hated player in the NBA. He's made a lot of enemies, whether they be players or fans, with his demeanor and tendency to instigate.

His most infamous moment this season came when the Lakers were playing the Grizzlies on January 21, 2023. He was involved in a shouting match with pro-football Hall of Famer, Shannon Sharpe, something which spiraled out of control when other Grizzlies players were involved, per Bleacher Report.

Brooks also appeared to kick Cleveland's Donovan Mitchell in the groin area in February, per USA Today. Last month, he said he doe not like Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors, prompting a response from the star on his podcast.

Brooks wants to play James

According to Commercial Appeal, Brooks said he is looking forward to playing against James.

"I wouldn’t mind playing LeBron in a seven-game series. The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs, knock him out right away. They’ll test us good. They got good pieces, good players. That’ll be a good first-round matchup for us."

The 27-year-old guarded the 38-year-old earlier this season, holding the veteran to 8-for-21 shooting but the Lakers still won the game.

The four-time NBA champion only played in one of the three meetings between the Grizzlies and Los Angeles.

Memphis reached the second round of the playoffs last season, losing to eventual champions, the Warriors in six games.

Brooks disses Green and Warriors

Sports Brief previously reported on Brooks aiming a savage dig at Green and the Warriors, with the 27-year-old not holding back.

He said he dislikes the Warriors and their star, adding Green would struggle on another team - despite leading the series 2-1.

The Grizzlies are third in the West with a 39-26 record, while the defending NBA champions are 6th after losing three in a row.
